This is the famous Matterhorn, situated in Valais Canton in Switzerland, near Zermatt, on a beautiful September day.
In the foreground is the Riffelsee lake, reachable from the Rotenboden railway station which is one station down from the Gornergrat station, on the Gornergratbahn mountain railway.
